Senior UI Designer

We are looking for a Senior UI Designer, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle, which includes estimating, technical design, implementation,  documentation, testing, deployment, and support of innovative applications developed for our clients. You will team with solution architects and developers on the translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and maintenance of user interfaces for web applications.
• Collaborate with solution architects and developers to translate wireframes and creative designs into functional and technical requirements.

Full Software Development Lifecycle:

• Manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Customer-First Mindset:

• Foster a customer-first mindset, focusing on delivering innovative and high-quality applications that meet or exceed client expectations.

Web Standards and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that web standards are met and that platforms are fully functional before delivery to clients.
• Implement and enforce best practices for coding standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies to maintain high-quality deliverables.

Product Instincts and User Experience:

• Apply excellent product instincts and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences in web applications. Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement creative designs and enhance overall usability.

• Embrace a data-centric mindset, utilizing data-driven insights to inform design decisions and continuously improve application performance.

Adoption of Emerging Technologies:

Hands-On Development:

• Engage in hands-on design, coding, testing, and debugging of web applications using React.js.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end UI with AWS services and custom solutions.

Roll Up Sleeves Mentality:

• Exhibit a proactive and “roll up your sleeves” mentality, being ready to immerse in project details and problem-solving when needed.

Greenfield Implementation:

• If applicable, leverage experience in supporting greenfield implementations end-to-end, contributing to the success of projects from inception to delivery.

Node.js Expertise:

• If applicable, leverage expertise in Node.js to enhance and optimize the development of web applications.

Qualifications:

• 5-8+ years of production experience building progressive web applications using React.js
• Experience with AWS services and integrations with front-end UI
• Experience with custom solutions
• Excellent hands-on design, coding, testing methodology, and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting a greenfield implementation end-to-end
• Experience working with a startup company
• Experience with Node.js
