The Data Steward position in Matamoros is a key role focused on ensuring the quality and integrity of data within the organization. This full-time position involves managing and maintaining data standards, collaborating with various stakeholders, and implementing data governance practices. The Data Steward will play a crucial role in enhancing data quality, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.

  • Data Quality Management:
     Monitor and ensure the quality and integrity of data across various databases and systems.
     Implement data quality standards and procedures.
  • Data Governance:
     Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance policies.
     Implement and maintain data governance frameworks.
  • Data Standardization:
     Standardize and normalize data formats and structures for consistency.
     Develop and enforce data standardization practices.
  • Data Documentation:
     Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, sources, and processes.
     Ensure data lineage and traceability.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
     Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and challenges.
     Communicate data quality issues and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
  • Data Compliance:
     Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
     Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify data compliance issues.
  • Data Cleansing and Enrichment:
     Identify and execute data cleansing initiatives to rectify inconsistencies.
     Implement strategies for data enrichment to enhance overall data quality.
  • Bachelor´s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Steward or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Data Management or related field.
  • Experience with data profiling and metadata management tools.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in data governance.
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
