Data Architect (Manufacturing) – (Remote)

The Data Architect will lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-grade data architecture for a strategic initiative. This role ensures scalable, secure, high-performing data solutions that support advanced analytics and business insights across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data architecture aligned with enterprise standards.
• Develop logical and physical data models, data flow diagrams, and architecture artifacts.
• Ensure complete data lineage, traceability, and transparency across systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and architects.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
• Define metadata management, data cataloging, and data quality standards.
• Recommend tools and frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Promote use of Azure analytics services, Databricks, and BI tools.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency for large data workloads.
• Create and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and modeling standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years in data and analytics with proven experience as a Data Architect on large-scale projects.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Data integration, modeling, and architectural principles.
  • Data Mesh, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Spark, SQL, Python, ingestion pipelines, metadata management.
  • Azure (ADF), Databricks, and BI tools (Power BI).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, ERP, or supply chain (SAP preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Preferred Certifications: Azure Data Engineer / Azure Data Architect.
