SQL Admin

We are seeking a talented and experienced SQL Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server systems, ensuring the availability and consistent performance. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Perform database tuning and optimization, ensuring maximum performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain database security policies, including roles and permissions.
• Plan and implement database upgrades and migrations.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to develop and implement database strategies to support business needs.
• Document database infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
