Scrum Master

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master to join an Agile development team. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the Agile software development process, ensuring that the Scrum framework is implemented effectively and delivering high-quality software products. You will work closely with the development team, Product Owner, and stakeholders to promote collaboration, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities:

• Act as a servant leader, facilitating Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach and guide the development team on Agile principles, practices, and Scrum framework, promoting self-organization and continuous improvement.
• Remove any impediments or obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress and ensure a smooth development process.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to groom and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-refined and ready for the upcoming sprints.
• Monitor and track team velocity and sprint progress, providing regular updates to the stakeholders and management.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting effective communication and collaboration among team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements, adapting Agile practices to suit the needs of the team and organization.
• Facilitate effective decision-making and conflict resolution within the team.
• Provide guidance and support to the Product Owner in backlog management, user story creation, and release planning.
• Continuously assess team performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest Agile methodologies, tools, and industry trends, and share best practices with the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development projects.
• Strong knowledge of Agile principles, values, and Scrum framework.
• Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., CSM or PSM) is highly desirable.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) is a plus.
• Knowledge of other Agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Lean) is beneficial.
