Release Manager

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Release Manager responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases, ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of software development processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain release plans, including schedules, milestones, and dependencies.
• Coordinate release activities with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, operations, and product management.
• Communicate release status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure that release processes are followed consistently and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage release-related documentation, including release notes and deployment instructions.
• Implement and maintain release management tools and systems.
• Facilitate post-release reviews and lessons learned sessions to improve future releases.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging technologies in release management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar role in a software development environment.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
• Experience with release management tools such as Jira, GitLab, or similar.
• Knowledge of software build and deployment processes.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
